Happiness Falls by Angie Kim

4.0 out of 5.0

The group generally appreciated the open ended nature of this book and we’d recommend this book for anyone looking for a book about identity and complex family relationships. This book explores one family’s history as they deal with an unfathomable event that changes their family dynamic forever. The author, Angie Kim, is a lawyer and this book actually contains quite a few footnotes that readers should interact with if possible. The group had a few audiobook listeners and the footnotes were not included (or not announced) in the audio format of this book. Those of us that read the footnotes had a generally more positive perception of the book than those that did not.
