About Us

Founded in 2023, Book People aims and provide to foster community a fun and vibrant space for book lovers. in person meetings are held in the DFW metroplex ( generally in Carrollton, Addison, Plano or Frisco). In 2025 we aim to expand access to our community by offering the option to join us virtually.

Book suggestions can be submitted in person or via this website.

Voting for new book selections takes place at our in person meetings. Books of all genres are welcome and will be considered.

In addition to being a thriving community of like-minded bookish people, We believe in putting our money where out mouth is. We’ve partnered with two literacy based charities local DFW, all proceeds of the blog on this website (coming soon) go to the maintenance of this site, and to our charity partners.
